I REALLY WANT A PLOT where, as opposed to being a nineteenth century revolutionary/intellectual, masha is an eighteenth century philosophe ( i.e. hume, diderot, beccaria, etc. ) and, in the style of rousseau, she pushes the government’s buttons a bit too far and has to flee the country. and like. a foreign power eventually takes pity on her because it’d look good for a ~benevolent absolutist~ to have such a public academic in their court. ideally this would end in a clandestine relationship between her and some enlightened despot whom she disagrees with on an fundamental level but can’t leave since literally every other country would imprison or execute her, but a weird/unconventional friendship is something i would also die for. anyways. if you like this i’ll assume ur interested and probably blow ur im’s up and we will be friends forever.
